When the railway was laid in 1914, there was no soccer pitch. That was constructed later, because the village grew.
Cierny Balog is a big municipality, a conglomeration of 13 villages, which was one of many facilities of the anti-Nazi Slovak Nationwide Rebellion in the course of the Second World Battle.
