Thunderstorm, lightning and hail over central India from Feb 16 to 18 : IMD

The India Meteorological Division (IMD) has predicted mild to average rain in a number of states throughout central India between February 16 and 18.

In line with the forecast issued by the Met division on Monday, a number of climate programs are energetic over the area, which is able to set off thunderstorm actions within the coming days over some elements of Uttar Pradesh, together with Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Odisha and Karnataka.

“An higher air cyclonic circulation lies over north Madhya Maharashtra, extending from it’s a trough operating until Kerala. There’s one other trough line operating between west Rajasthan and central Madhya Pradesh. The northerly,easterly and southerly winds will confluence over central India, together with moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal, leading to thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and hail over Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and north inside Karnataka, Marathwada and Vidarbha between February 16 and 18,” stated IMD officers.

With such climate, north India will expertise hotter nights with important rise in minimal temperatures. In the direction of the top of this week, the minimal temperatures over central India would rise by 2 to three levels Celsius.

The Regional Meteorological Centre, Mumbai, has warned of hailstorms over the state in the course of the subsequent three days. Bhandara, Gondia and Nagpur districts will expertise hail on Tuesday whereas Buldhana, Gadchiroli, Wardha and Yavatmal districts will expertise hail on Wednesday.

Hail storm is forecast on Thursday over Dhule, Nashik, Jalgaon and Aurangabad districts. Solapur, Latur and Osmanabad would expertise hailstorms on February 19. The complete state may also expertise mild rain on Friday.
